Rolland is originally from Portland, Oregon now based in Brooklyn, New York. He has a B.A. from Portland State University and received his M.F.A. in acting from Harvard University’s ART/MXAT Institute for Advanced Theater Training.

In 2012, Rolland was invited to join Third Rail Repertory Theatre as a company member. An ensemble built to share an esthetic, a vocabulary, and an understanding of each other’s working styles in order to produce surprising and thought-provoking entertainment.

He found an artistic home at Third Rail. Collaborating with these artists has allowed for great artistic risks to be taken quickly in rehearsals and ever-deepening relationships with the audience to grow on stage.
Of his many stage roles, some his favorites include Touchstone in As You Like It (American Repertory Theatre); Konstantin in Seagull (Moscow Art Theatre); Thom in Thom Pain (based on nothing) (Club Oberon – Cambridge, MA); Nelson in Infinite Life (Third Rail Repertory Theatre); Kenneth in The Night Alive (Third Rail Repertory Theatre).

Rolland is proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
